Let’s start working on Chinese New Year decorations 😀
Today, we are going to use toilet paper roll and some red packets to make a fire cracker 🙂
Red packet toilet paper roll fire cracker
Cut two circles out of a red packet
Paste on both ends of the toilet paper roll
Take a cute red packet and paste around the toilet roll.
Cut a strip of aluminium foil, twist it and paste on one end of the roll and you are done 😀

Paint a toilet paper roll white
Paint the eyes and dry. Read my earlier entry – tips for painting (and drying) round object here .
Cut the ears out of white paper and glue. The rabbit is done 😀

We are making a toilet paper roll snowman today 😀
Toilet Paper Roll Snowman
Cut a strip of white paper
Wrap and paste the toilet paper roll. You may opt to paint the whole roll white instead of wrapping it with paper.
Cut another toilet paper roll at 1/3 of the length and paint black as the snowman’s hat
Cut a circle and paste the top of the hat. Cut a bigger circle for the bottom of the hat.
Paste the hat on the white toilet roll.
Add details such as eyes and all.
Your toilet paper roll snowman is done 🙂

Was shopping for gifts in Toys ‘r’ Us today when I came across THIS! Pyssla beads! Ok, so they don’t call them ‘Pyssla’ but they sure ARE the BEADS that I’ve come to LOVE so much recently! So to those of you who live far, far away from IKEA, you can now get your beads from Toys ‘r’ Us!
Now.. isn’t THAT great? I bet many of you will make a dash to Toys ‘r’ Us soon 😛

Let’s make a handprint Christmas mitten today 🙂
Handprint Christmas mitten
Paint your palm white
Stamp your painted palm on red construction paper
Draw the shape of a mitten and cut
Paste some cotton on the mitten and you are done 😀
It’s a bird…. It’s a plane.. Yeah… It’s a PLANE! 😀

Glue egg carton and toilet roll together
Paint the toilet roll
Let them dry
Paint windows on the plane. Use hairdryer to expedite the drying process. Read more about it here .
Use colored craft foams as the wings and deco
The plane is ready to fly 🙂

I love Pyssla beads. We can make almost anything out of it!

Arrange the beads according to what you want it to be
Place parchment paper on the beads
Iron the beads, moving the iron about for 10 seconds or so
The beads will be attached to each other once ironed
Let it cool before removing the parchment paper

Snowflake and Christmas tree 😀
Let’s make a Christmas tree out of craft sticks today 😀
Craft stick Christmas tree
Glue 3 craft sticks to form a triangle. Let dry.
Paint it green. Once dried, decorate as you wish.
Tie a silver / golden thread if you wish to hang it as a Christmas tree ornament.
Let’s make a reindeer out of toilet paper roll today 😀
Toilet Paper Roll Reindeer
Cut four legs out of a toilet paper roll
Paint the reindeer brown
Paint the feet black
Paint a cotton ball red. Just dip the brush in red paint and dab the brush all over on the cotton.
Paint your thumb white
Stamp onto the reindeer as eyes. Glue the red cotton ball as nose.
Twist several short pipe cleaners and glue as the antlers.
Your toilet paper roll reindeer is done 😀
Today we are just going to put cotton balls together to make a snowman 😀
Just paste the cottonball and decorate as you wish. Your snowman is done 😀
We are making a giant Handprint Christmas tree today. Well, you determine how GIANT you want it to be 😛
Giant Handprint Christmas Tree
Get the kids to paint their palm green or yellow
How GIANT the Christmas tree will depend on how BIG your paper is.
Lightly draw a large triangle on the paper and get the kids to stamp their painted palm within the triangle area.
Repeat until the whole area is stamped.
Paint your palm yellow and stamp on the top of the Christmas tree as the star.
Let it dry
Once dried, paint your thumb and decorate.
You may also use sponge and rollers. Just have fun and decorate! 😀

Paint 2 paper plates brown
Cut one plate in half
Glue the circular edge
Fold the other paper plate and cut both edges. Do not throw away the edges as you’ll need it for the ears, legs and tail.

Cut out ears, legs and tail and paste. Paste eyes and nose and glue the head to the body.

Stamp your painted foot onto a paper plate
Use craft punch and punch out various shapes using different coloured papers
Paste and decorate the tree as you wish
The footprint Christmas tree is done 😀 Tie a string and hang it on your real Christmas tree 🙂
