Michael Ann of Michael Ann Made shared with us this cute little bunny felt craft. This could be a fun craft to do with your kids who want to learn to sew by enlarging the pattern a few percent on a copy machine, and using yarn and a yarn sewing needle to stitch it together. The full tutorial and pattern can be found here.

This craft requires adult’s supervision as the use of needle is needed.

Thank you Michael Ann for this lovely sharing.

You too can share your art and craft work with us. Just click here to submit. Thank you

It’s Good Friday today. Are you done decorating your eggs for Easter?  Inspired by DisneyFamilyFun, we did this little cutie lamb today 🙂

Easter Egg Lamb

Our little artist has just started learning the piano and one of his favourite piece is Mary has a Little Lamb. He learned this piece from YouTube. Watch him play here 😀

Since he is loving lambs so much, it is only appropriate to make one to accompany him <3

All you need are:
* an empty egg shell
* a black straw for the legs
* colored paper for the ears (I cut out from old magazine)
* cotton balls
* glue

Cut the straws

Glue onto the egg

Paste cotton all over the lamb leaving the front part empty for the face

Draw eyes and mouth

The Easter Egg family is expanding 😀 Check out our previous post on making the Easter Egg Mickey Mouse here.

Let’s make a bird today. Not an angry bird but a cute one 😀

Toilet Paper Roll Bird

Paint a toilet paper roll any colour to your liking.

Paint your thumb white and stamp as the white eye. Paint your pointer black and stamp again as the eyeball 😀

Cut two triangles out of orange construction paper for the beak

Spread PVA glue all over the toilet roll

Now it’s the fun part – Sticking feathers onto the bird.

Instead of buying feathers from craft store, I bought a brand new feather duster and stripped the feathers from it instead. It’s much cheaper that way!

The kids with their bird 😀

Remember the Happy Family Chicken Eggs we just did? Remember the Easter Egg Bunny? All we need to do now is make a basket to keep them nicely together 🙂

Easter Egg Basket. The Happy Chicken Family and their friend, the Easter Bunny 🙂

Cut an empty egg carton. We'll need only four 'nests'.

Trim the sides and paste double-sided tape. Stick a strip of crepe paper all around it.

In case you're wondering how to prepare the crepe paper, just cut a strip and fold. Then trim one end so that it's a little bit rounded.

Use a hole punch and punch a hole each on both sides of the basket. Put a pipe cleaner through it and twist to secure. The Easter Egg Basket is done 🙂

I so love this Easter project that I did with Ethan (well, most of it was ME as empty egg shells are too fragile to be handled by him). The end result is just too satisfying and cute!
Let’s start 😀

One Happy Family Chicken Eggs

You'll need some empty egg shells.

You'll need to cut out some 'chicken parts' from coloured felts and paste double layered tape on it.

Paste all the parts onto the empty egg shell. Draw two dots as the eyes.

Introducing... Daddy Chicken Egg 😀

Put your hands together for... Mummy Chicken Eggs 🙂

Our bundle of joy... Baby Chicken Egg a.k.a. Ethan 😛

Together, we make a lovely Happy Family portrait 🙂

I’m still smiling looking at those eggs 🙂 If you have any Easter projects you want to share with us, please submit them here and we’ll link it back to you. Thank you 🙂

Easter is around the corner. Let’s make a simple but cute Easter greeting card 🙂

Easter Greeting Card

Trace the outline of your palm and cut. You'll need both sides of your palms cut out.

Cut out an oval from a yellow construction paper.

Paste the palm cut out on each side as the wings.

Cut a triangle from a brown felt as the beak. Two circles from beach felt as the eyes. Cut two legs from brown foam and two small circles from black foam. Glue. You may also opt to use construction paper instead of felt and foam but I prefer felt and foam for a better finish 😀

There was once when I kept the eggs in my fridge for far too long that they turn bad. Then hubs jokingly said that luckily it turn bad, otherwise they will hatch! And then, I got an idea for this craft…
All I used was my old place mat and that scouring sponge? Is that what they call it? Some googly eyes and glue are needed too.
Got Ethan to outline the ‘egg‘.
Ready for assemble.
Cute? It’s a gentle reminder to quickly consume the eggs before they hatch! 😀

This is my first time doing a yarn craft. But I definitely LOVE the result of this Cute PomPom Chick! Isn’t it cute?
You’ll need this small gadget to make the pom pom.
You’ll need to do two pompoms of slightly different sizes. Then tie them up together. Lastly, decorate them and you’ll get this…Ahh.. imagine having a cute chick on your phone/fax receiver. Simply cute. ^^
