The children are back at school and with that, they’ll need bookmarks for their studies. We made these AMONG US origami bookmarks yesterday. My youngest boy brought them to school and immediately his classmates requested for them too. My boy happily told them, “Okay, my Mummy will help to make them for all of you”
During the school holidays, I brought our little crafty boy to the mall for some fun holiday crafts. They did a pencil topper that day.
My boy was given this piece of hard construction printed paper. He coloured it.
I thought he did a great job at coloring the horse! π
He then applied glue all over and placed a pencil in the middle.
Fold, seal and let dry.
He loves it so much that he wanted to make more for his teachers so he can give them when school reopens. We printed our own pictures and he did a few..
Watch this video of him printing and making a Butterfly Pencil Topper π
We can make an interesting bee bookmark using a craft stick.
Craft stick bee bookmark

– Draw and cut another circle out of a black craft foam this time
– Paint a craft stick yellow
– Cut the black circle into half, paste as wings.
– Cut some tiny strips out of black craft foams and paste on the bee.
– Paste the craft stick at the back.

Back in my school days, I loved making bookmarks for my friends. As students, that was what we oftenΒ used. Want to try making an origami heart bookmark for your loved ones? Let’s go..
Origami Heart Bookmark.
Fold in half to make a crease.
Cut along the crease with scissors.
Fold in half to make a crease and fold back. Fold both sides to make creases again and fold back. You should get four columns.
Fold to make a crease and fold back.
Using the recent crease as your guide, turn the paper and fold and turn back.
Fold to meet the center line.
Fold the other so both meet the center line.
Fold backward in the dotted line.
Push the upper part up and flatten it.
Do the same for the other side.
Fold and turn over.
Your origami heart bookmark is done. π

Need a bookmark? Try making your very own footprint ghost bookmark. All you need are foam craft and googly eyes. The ghost is best done on white craft foam. I did not have any white craft foam at the time of doing this, so I settled with yellow foam instead. Trace the outline of your foot onto the foam. Cut it out. Paste the googly eyes and decorate it.
This is another simple to do craft. A bookmark made of foam. You’ll need some craft foam, key ring and a paper clip. You’ll also need some cookie cutters for shapes.
Cut the foam to the shapes you desire.
Glue them together. Use a needle to poke a tiny hole for the key ring.
Insert the key ring and the paper clip and your foam bookmark is ready!
All you need is an old envelope, a craft scissors and some craft punch. Cut the corner of an envelope and decorate it as you like. The idea is to use the corner of an envelope as a bookmark. How you beautify it is up to you! Simple isn’t it?
This is too simple to do. All you need is a ribbon, foam and googly eyes. Cut out the foam to any shapes desired and add the googly eyes to make it more interesting. Paste the foam on both sides of the ribbon and on both ends too. Alternatively, you may used nice buttons instead of foams.
