I did a craft stick stationery holder with my student earlier this year. Refer to it here. Back then my boy was too young to make that.

Today, he is ready to make his own craft stick stationery holder and requested for a rainbow theme 😀

Rainbow craft stick stationery holder

Paint the craft sticks with your favourite colours

Let them dry

Paste the toilet paper roll onto a piece of hard board and cut

Spread glue all over

Stick the craft sticks all around the toilet paper roll

Let it dry and decorate as you wish

I tied ribbon around it to hold the craft sticks together better 🙂

Wanna see what I did? Here…

Craft sticks can be used to make beautiful decorative items. Today, let’s make an insect garden 🙂

Craft Stick Insect Garden

– You’ll need 8 craft sticks.

– Arrange them as shown above and glue to keep them in place.

Refer here for the ladybug instructions and here for the bee instructions.

– Cut some grass out of green felt and paste them all onto the craft sticks.

– Your masterpiece will definitely cheer up any dull looking wall 🙂

We need to eat a lot of popsicles to do this 😀

Craft stick stationery holder

Get a toilet paper roll tube, the bigger the better.

Draw a circle on a hardboard box, cut and paste.

Spread some glue

Put an elastic band in the middle and insert the craft sticks.

The band is to hold the sticks in place.

Glue the craft stick all around the toilet paper roll tube.

Tie a string around it.

And you are done. You may also add some little bugs as deco.

Remember the abstract art we did previously? If you don’t, check it out here.

We are going to make a lantern out of that art piece today.

Craft Stick Lantern

Paste 4 craft sticks to form a square on the art piece

Paste more sticks until you get 4 squares

Cut and paste the end together. Cover the bottom and stick a tea light in the middle.

I made another using Panda as the motive and I find it really cool 😀

Using crayons, I drew a couple of pandas on a tracing paper

Like this 🙂

Cover it with another tracing paper

Iron. Again, please be careful while handling hot iron. Make sure the little ones are no where nearby.

Cut and glue together

Nice 🙂

A Crafty-Crafted Friend's submission of a cool storage box 🙂

Milton of Our Little Corners must have eaten ‘millions’ of popsicles for this project 😀 You may use craft sticks instead if you can’t get yourself to digest a million popsicles 😛

I’ll let the pictures do all the ‘talking’ here as he has definitely put in a lot of effort in this project! Words just can’t describe them 😀

So lovely, I likey 😀

Thank you Milton 🙂
