Ethan, my poster boy is THREE years old today. If you’ve been following this blog, you would have watch him grow from a 12 months old chubby baby to a ‘no longer chubby’ toddler and now… an active little boy 😀
As he grows, so does this blog and we are proud to announce that we are expanding our studio beyond blogging. We are now about less than a month away from the official opening of our brand new Studio in Subang 2. If you wish to be in our contact list for the opening, please do not hesitate to drop your contact details here.
This will be your chance to catch Ethan ‘live’ in action 😛
Masking tape is a type of pressure sensitive tape made of a thin and easy-to-tear paper. It is available in a variety of widths. It is used mainly in painting to cover the part of a surface that should not be painted.
Since making the vitagen bottle elephant the other day, I’m very inspired to make other animals out of it. Today, we shall make a panda out of a vitagen bottle 🙂
Vitagen Panda
Draw a circle out of a white piece of paper, cut and paste to cover the mouth of the bottle
– Do the same for the base of the bottle.
– Paste small strips of paper to cover the entire surface and add some black parts using black sugar paper.
– Cut two ears out of black craft foam and paste
– Cut 2 eyes out of black sugar paper and paste.
– Paste 2 small googly eyes on it.
– Cut a small heart shape for the nose and draw the mouth.
– Use black craft foam as the legs.
PVA glue can also be used to make varnish, which will help protect the surface of many of your projects. A shiny, varnished effect looks really professional. Mix the glue with one third the amount of water. The varnish will look a bit white when you paint it on, but when it dries it will be clear.
We were there last year and it was a blast. Read all about it here. It is back this year and we are going to be there again 🙂

I would like to thank everybody who had submitted their entries for the Playhouse Disney Contest. It’s nice to see parents teaming up with their kids to come out with wonderful masterpiece! Below are the Top 3 winners in no particular order.
Sean of cre8tonebabe.blogspot.com has always wanted to be a pilot. He has a very clear ambition since he’s 1 year++ till now. Being a pilot is his ‘big dream’… The love logo on the plane is an indication of his dream to bring his loved ones ie Daddy, Mummy, mei mei(sister), wai gong(grandpa), wai por(grandma), ah gu gu(mummy’s little brother), big gugu (mummy’s big brother) and jie jie (gugu’s girlfriend) to fly in his aeroplane; everyone he loves on board his plane. So sweet of him 🙂
Krystal of zekerene.blogspot.com wants to be a little gardener when she grows up. With a garden as lovely as hers, I won’t mind being a gardener too 😀
Chloe of chloeruoyi.blogspot.com wants to be a teacher of a multi-coloured nation. So sweet! Those are definitely happy looking students she got there 🙂
Congratulations to all 3 winners. I hope your sweet ambition will come true 😀
We’ll be contacting the winners in a couple of days for the prize collection.
Thank you once again to all who have participated. Watch out for our next contest coming up real soon 🙂
PVA glue – Is also known as white glue, school glue or wood working glue. It is water-based; your hands and brushes come clean easily under the tap. PVA glue sticks most things together – wood, cardboard, paper, cloth and plastic.
It is great for applying glitter too. Just mix it in and paint it. You can apply the glue with either a paintbrush or a glue spreader. PVA glue mixed with water is perfect for papier-mache and the glue can be undiluted on parts that need extra strength.
Coming up.. other usage of PVA glue. Stay tuned 🙂
We can make an interesting bee bookmark using a craft stick.
