I remembered my niece once shared with us a naughty little joke.

She asked, “What animal is very hamsup (cheeky)?”
Me: The LEMUR (King Julian) in Madagascar!
Hazel: WRONG!
Me: Then what?
Hazel: ZEBRA!ย ย Coz zebra will un-ZIP and show off its BRA!

LoL! Cheeky little girl she was…

Today, let’s not be cheeky and make a zebra as a teaching aid instead. This is great to be used when introducing ABCs to the little one. I was in one of the localkindy around when I saw this on their Art Board so here we are reproducing the art work ๐Ÿ™‚

I prepared a Z template and get the kids to use it to draw the outline.

Cut out the Z

Paint stripes on the letter Z

Paint a strip of paper black, let dry and cut little strips as the mane.

Paste the mane onto the Z, add ears and eyes and the ZEBRA is done! ๐Ÿ™‚

Remember the video I shared on how to cut letters out of paper here ? Well, we are going to make use of our new found skill and make learning the alphabets so much FUN!

From today onwards we are going to make random alphabet craft projects. We are going to start with the letter D. We are going to make a Dino teaching aid ๐Ÿ˜€

D for Dinosaur ๐Ÿ™‚

Cut out a D and outline it on a brown foam or any color of your choice.

That letter D will be the prominent feature in this craft

Using other colors except brown, cut out body parts from craft foams.

I refrain from using brown again as we need the letter D to stand out.

Glue onto the letter D

Cut out shapes for decorative purposes and glue onto the dinosaur

The Dinosaur is done ๐Ÿ˜€
