Hello! My little boy is 2 1/2 years old now and loves to emulate his big brother. The other day the big brother was doing his school art work – stamping and the little one wanted to try it too.
So I got him an okra, halved it and wrapped it with a tissue as he finds it itchy to hold it with his bare hand.
He began stamping all over the empty A4 paper.
Here’s a short video of him stamping:
He had so much fun stamping that he is asking for more. Next round we’ll be using potatoes instead 🙂
Join us and ParenThots this Saturday, 28 May 2011 for 3 hours of crafting.
Goodie bags
We are going to have 150 goodie bags to give out (50 every hour)! Inside the goodie bags, you can expect to find stuff from our kind sponsors Kleenex, MPH, Scholastic, Soda Kids and The Junior Academy.
* Fondant crafts by WhipNWhisk (whipnwhisk.com/).
Prizes to be won
When your children are done, we will take their photos with their crafts (only for quilling, T-shirt painting and crafting with felt).
The best craft for each of these 3 categories will win RM120 worth of KLUTZ products.
The winners will only be announced on ParenThots in the first week of June.
When is it all happening?
Date: May 28, 2011 (Saturday)
Time: 11am-2pm
Venue: Main Atrium, Ground Floor, Tropicana City Mall, Petaling Jaya
No registration required. No fee to participate. However, this is NOT a babysitting service. You will need to guide your children and even craft with them. It’s a great bonding opportunity for parents and children.
Craft scissors are scissors which have been developed for use in arts and crafts. There are several different styles of craft scissors, ranging from pinking shears, which create a wavy edge in cut objects, to children’s craft scissors, with blunt blades which are designed to reduce injury. Many craft stores sell an assortment of craft scissors, and it is also possible to order them through specialty suppliers. Having a pair of utility craft scissors around the house can be extremely useful, as these scissors tend to be very versatile.
It was the second day of Chinese New Year, 15 February 2010 to be exact. At 9.31am I got an sms from a friend, “Your face is on tv now”. I was like.. huh? By the time we switched on the tv, everything’s gone~ler. Yes, Ethan and I were featured on Tv3’s Kids News that day. Remember I blogged about our first recording? Unfortunately, we did not get to catch it..
Yesterday was my first day back at work. My students excitedly told my colleague that they saw me on tv, and he told me about it. Immediately I went to my students and lessons were ‘abandon’ for a moment there talking about my one minute ‘fame’ 😀
It seems that the students were more excited seeing their teacher on tv than me knowing that Ethan and I were on tv! Why was I not excited? Because I did not get to see ‘us’ on air~lor… So no feelings at all..
I contacted TV3 and they told me that they’ll arrange to give me a DVD copy of that episode. They might even have another episode aired before the end of the month. Keeping fingers cross now 😀
If you love someone, put their name in a circle, instead of a heart, because hearts can break, but circles go on forever.

It takes more then lace and ribbons,
And lovely verses too,
To make a Valentine thats nice enough for you. It takes a world of special thoughts,
Tucked into every line,
And that’s exactly what you’ll find inside this Valentine.
