Choo choo.. Let’s make a train today.

Arm train.

First, stretch your arm and draw the outline.

Dip the toothbrush bristles into colour of your choice.

Scrape the bristles against the comb.

Repeat using other colours.

Paste the 'arm' onto a piece of paper, forming a train.

Draw windows, tracks and smoke. Your train is ready.
Any idea on what else can we create from our arm? Let’s share here.
This nice little paper basket can be used to place little gifts for the little ones.

Woven Heart Basket.

You'll need two different colours of papers. Fold and cut so that each piece has 3 loops.

Starting with the bottom 1/3 loop of the green piece, weave it through the first red loop, insert the second red loop through this green piece and weave this green piece through the 3rd red loop again.

Do the opposite way for the middle loop of the green piece. First weave the right red loop through this green loop, then weave this middle green loop through the middle red loop and then weave the red loop through this green loop again.

If done correctly, your basket should be able to open this way.

Using a craft scissors, cut a red strip and weave a green strip through it as the handle of the basket.

The beautiful paper heart basket.
This Christmas, let’s do some snowflakes to decorate our house.

Snowflake crystal.

Fold in half to make a crease.

Fold half again.

Fold as shown above.

Turn over.

Fold as above.

Fold in half.

Draw the lines and cut accordingly.

You may want to paste it onto a hard board and paste some glitters on it as a Christmas tree ornament or just paste the snowflake onto your window panes.

A Crafty-Crafted Friend's submission of a handy origami mini bin.
Craft submitted by mnhl of http://mnhldiary.blogspot.com/
mnhl said,

You will need a piece of paper (magazine size is the best). I used recycle magazines.

Fold the paper into half. Fold to another half and you will get a smaller square size. Lift up the corner and press to get a triangle.

Do the same for the other side.

Now, you will get a triangle shape without the slit at the bottom.

Fold the corner to meet the middle line. Do the same to the 3 other corners.

Fold the bottom upwards. Do the same for the other side too.Open slowly and you will get a mini bin.

This is a classic ol’ school craft. Back in our ol’ school days, we made lucky stars for that ‘special’ someone.. It’s always nice to be receiving these lucky star charm from basically anyone!

Lucky Stars

Start with a strip of paper. Tie a “knot” in the end of your paper.

Fold the end of the strip down and tuck it into the knot.

Now wrap the other end of the strip around and around this pentagon you have formed, creasing gently as you go.

Keep wrapping until you get to the end of the strip. Tuck the last bit of the strip into the pouch. Now to make this little pentagon into a star, very gently and slowly use your fingernail to press on the centre of each of its edges. The star should puff out.

And your lovely little lucky star is all done. Make dozens of it and keep them in a cute little jar. Present it to your loved ones. It's a nice little gift.
Playing Peek-A-Boo is never this fun! Using your footprint as the ear and handprint as the bush to hide in, let’s create a cute rabbit.

Footprint paper plate rabbit.

Draw an outline of your palm. Cut out several handprints. Use different shades of green for better effect.

Draw an outline of both of your feet. Cut. Cut out a smaller version in pink. Paste on top of the white footprint.

Paste the handprints as bushes. Add the eyes and your footprint paper plate rabbit is ready to hide and seek!

Look in the mailbox each day and you’ll see many leaflets/brochures wasting there. Why not turn them into something nice and useful? Let’s make an origami frame out of these papers.

This frame is particularly useful for pre-schools that uses the children's photo and name to tag their book shelves, shoe rack and etc. It is inexpensive and very simple to do.

You'll need to cut the paper into a square. I line it with another piece of paper to make it 'harder'.

Fold it half.

And half again.

Open.

Fold all corners to the middle and open.

Fold one end to the line.

Fold again.

And again. Repeat for the remaining three.

Cut a picture and paste it inside. Paste the four flips onto the photo and your photo frame is done. Put a double layer tape at the back if you wish to stick in onto the children's bookshelves, etc.
Say the word RAT and most of us will jump! But I’m sure this origami rat will make even the kids to love rodents.

Origami rat.

You'll need a square piece of paper. Try getting grey for maximum effect.

Fold it half and half again. Open. We just need the lines that has formed.

Fold one end, not too near the middle.

Fold a flip upwards as the ear.

Fold the bottom nicely to the back. The origami rat is quite ready.

Decorate it and it is all ready to eat cheese!
