We first did this toilet paper roll octopus back in 2010 with the elder brother.
Today we did the same with the little brother but skipped the painting part so it is not too lengthy.Β
You’ll need:
1 pcs toilet paper roll
1 pcs coloured foam
2 pcs googly eyes
Hole punch
Glue
Watch this video on how your toddler can make an octopus out of a toilet paper roll. If you intend to use kitchen roll, you’ll have to cut it short accordingly.Β

Let’s do handprinting again π Remember the Octopus we did?Β Since we are in the mood for octopus, let’s make a handprint Octopus π
Handprint Octopus
Paint four fingers and your palm. Stamp on a piece of paper. Paint again and stamp again so that your octopus has 8 tentacles.
Paint your fingertip white and stamp as the eyes.
Use a black marker to draw the eye balls and mouth and the octopus is done π
Refer to the video we shared on how to cut letters from paper here and we’ll be making alphabet teaching aid again today.
Today’s lucky letter is O.
O is for Octopus
Cut an O out of a piece of paper.
Use that paper O as a guide to draw the outline on a piece of colored foam.
Cut eight tentacles for the octopus.
Use hole punch and punch some circle foams.
Paste the small circles onto the tentacles.
Glue the decorated tentacles onto the O and you are done π
