Christmas is just a month away so let us start making some Christmas art.
Footprint Christmas Tree Art
My toddler is too young to paint his own foot so the elder brother helped him with it. Make sure to have a damp cloth nearby so you can wipe the paint off your little kid’s foot or you’ll have a lot of mess to clean up later.
I helped to stamp his painted foot on a piece of paper and wipe clean his foot.
The elder brother proceeded to paint the other foot.
And I helped to stamp it next to the previous footprint.
The elder brother completed the artwork by painting a star at the top and some dots as the Christmas tree ornaments while the little boy played with the paintbrush.
As simple as that, our footprint Christmas tree art is ready π

My boy loves eating carrots. He says they are good for his eyes so when he heard that we are going to make a hand and footprint carrot today, he is very excited!
Hand and footprint carrot.
Paint your foot orange
Stamp it onto a piece of paper
Paint some lines across the carrot
Paint your palm green
Stamp it above the carrot and the carrot is good to be ‘eaten’ π
Mushrooms! We love mushrooms! Today we are going to make a footprint paper plate mushroom π
Footprint paper plate mushroom
Cut a paper plate to the shape of a mushroom top
Paint the paper plate red.
While waiting for the paper plate to dry, paint your foot white or brown.. π
Stamp your painted foot on a piece of coloured construction paper.
Back to the paper plate. Paint a coat of diluted PVA glue all over the plate. This acts as an adhesive to hold the cotton later on and also as a varnish. Read here to learn more about varnishing using PVA glue.
Paste cotton balls
Spread the remaining PVA glue at the back of the paper plate
Paste it onto the footprint and the mushroom is done! Served with a bowl of freshly cooked mushroom soup, YUMMY! π
We are enjoying the durian season here now. Durian is a very ‘subjective’ fruit. You either LIKE or HATE it! To those who loves it, you’ll find that it is very fragrant while those who hate it won’t even be able to bear the pungent smell π
Anyway, no guessing to which side I’m at as that is what we are doing today π
Babies are always so cute. Let’s do a baby chicken – a footprint chick today π
Footprint Chick
Paint your foot yellow
Stamp your painted footprint onto a drawing block
Paint 3 fingers and stamp onto the footprint as the wing
Add details and an extra HUGE googly eyes for the maximum cuteness effect π You might want to paint the chick's feet orange instead of black. I regretted painting it black π
People told me ladybug is for good luck and I’ve been believing in that ever since. I can never have enough of ladybugs in my art or crafts. Thanx to Handprint and Footprint Arts, let’s do a footprint ladybug today π
Footprint Ladybug
Paint your heel black
Paint the remaining 3/4 of your foot red
Nice π
Stamp your painted foot onto a piece of paper
Paint your fingertip black. Dot the bug.
Paint your fingertip white and dot two eyes.
Use a thin paint brush and paint the eyes and legs and you are done π
This Christmas, after all the attention spent on your Christmas tree, don’t forget your walls. They could use some cheering up too. Let’s make this cheerful ‘Rudolph’. π
Hand and foot print reindeer.
Trace your footprint on a piece of felt.
Trace your handprints onto another felt of different colour.
Paste and decorate the reindeer.
