Hungry Ghost

The Ghost Festival, also known as the Hungry Ghost Festival is a traditional Chinese festival celebrated by Chinese in many countries. According to the Chinese Calendar, the Hungry Ghost Festival falls on the 15th night of the seventh lunar month. It is believed, ghosts and spirits, including those of the deceased ancestors, come out from the lower realm on this day.

Are you afraid of GHOST? Taken from my Horror in Singapore Night Safari post

Keeping up with the ghostly season, we did a Hungry Ghost craft today.

I cut the edges of a paper plate so that it has sharp teeth all over

Cut a construction paper and paste the paper plate teeth on it.

Add eyes and the ghost is ready! I wanted to add splashes of red paint to make the ghost a very gory one but decided against it as I don’t wanna cause nightmares to the kids!
