It’s been sometime since we last did a toilet paper roll craft. Today, let’s make a toilet paper roll jet

Toilet Paper Roll Jet
Glue the egg carton to the toilet paper roll as what we did previously for the toilet paper roll plane. Refer to it here.

Paint it with the colour of your choice

Cut the necessary shapes out of coloured foam for the wings

Stick yellow cellophane sheets as the flame at the end of the jet
Refer to the video we shared on how to cut letters from paper here and we’ll be making alphabet teaching aid again today.
Today’s lucky letter is B.

B is for Butterfly

Cut a B out of a piece of paper.
Use that paper B as a guide to draw the outline on a piece of colored foam
Use craft punch to punch out colourful circles and paste all over the B.
It’s Valentine’s Day today and we are making a cute cupid out of toilet paper roll

Toilet Paper Roll Cupid

Paint a toilet paper roll pink

Paste eyes onto the roll. Alternatively you may dip your finger into white paint and print it as the eyes, paint black for the eyeball.

Draw the mouth

You’ll need some aluminium foil

Twist the foil until you get a strip and shape it into a wing. Repeat until you get a pair of wings

Use cellophane tape to tape the wings into place

Cut a strip of white paper and paste onto the cupid. Get some cotton and paste it too as the hair

Use pipe cleaner and craft foam and make the bow and arrow.

Glue the arrow and bow onto the cupid and you are done!

Mek…. Mek…. My first time attempting a goat craft

Paint a toilet roll brown

Use cotton as the beard and foam and felt for the rest.

Mek Mek is done. I’d prefer the ears to be slimmer and eyes not too big though
We need to eat a lot of popsicles to do this

Craft stick stationery holder

Get a toilet paper roll tube, the bigger the better.
Draw a circle on a hardboard box, cut and paste.

Spread some glue

Put an elastic band in the middle and insert the craft sticks.
The band is to hold the sticks in place.

Glue the craft stick all around the toilet paper roll tube.

Tie a string around it.

And you are done. You may also add some little bugs as deco.
It’s a bird…. It’s a plane.. Yeah… It’s a PLANE!

Let them dry

Paint windows on the plane. Use hairdryer to expedite the drying process. Read more about it here.

Handprint Reindeer

Draw the outline of your handprint on a piece of paper and cut

Use that handprint template and draw on a brown craft foam

Cut a small oval and paste as the tail

Bend some pipe cleaners and paste on the reindeer’s head. Paste other small details.

Paste googly eyes and you are done
We did a very interesting art piece today

Handprint Santa Claus

First paint your palm white

Stamp the painted palm onto a darker coloured paper

Paint your thumb red

Stamp the painted thumb as Santa’s nose

Paint your thumb pink

And stamp as the Santa’s cheeks

Paint your thumb white and stamp as the eyes

Cut the Santa’s hat out of red felt. We use red foam as I happened to run out of felt! Improvise!
Paste on some cotton too

Paste a cotton ball at the end of the hat

Paint your pointer black and stamp as Santa’s eyeball and you are done

Paint the toilet paper roll brown

Let it dry

Cut a tree top out of a green foam

Use a single hole punch, punch out red little 'apples'

Glue the 'apples' onto the tree top

Cut a slit on both opposite sides

Insert the tree top and your toilet paper roll tree is done

Today’s lucky letter is O.

O is for Octopus

Cut an O out of a piece of paper.
Use that paper O as a guide to draw the outline on a piece of colored foam.

Cut eight tentacles for the octopus.
Use hole punch and punch some circle foams.

Paste the small circles onto the tentacles.
Glue the decorated tentacles onto the O and you are done
When we go out shopping, we like to sample food given by the promoters and always end up with lots of paper cups in hand. Instead of just disposing them, if they are used to serve you cereals or any dry food, chances are they are still clean. Let’s do Mother Nature a favour and recycle those paper cups. Let’s transform them into pretty flowers

Let’s make a flower out of it

Cut all around the paper cup

Cut a circle out of craft foam and paste.
Any color of your choice.

Glue a craft stick at the back. Let it dry.

Remember the video I shared on how to cut letters out of paper here ? Well, we are going to make use of our new found skill and make learning the alphabets so much FUN!
From today onwards we are going to make random alphabet craft projects. We are going to start with the letter D. We are going to make a Dino teaching aid

D for Dinosaur

Cut out a D and outline it on a brown foam or any color of your choice.

That letter D will be the prominent feature in this craft

Using other colors except brown, cut out body parts from craft foams.
I refrain from using brown again as we need the letter D to stand out.

Glue onto the letter D

Cut out shapes for decorative purposes and glue onto the dinosaur

You’ll need two cups of from the egg carton

Glue them together

Hold them together so that they stick nicely on each other

Paint it pink

Use pink craft foams to decorate the pig and you are done

Paint a toilet paper roll with colour of your choice

Let dry and cut strips mid way through the tube

Use a marker and roll the strips to curl it

Stamp your fingers as the eyes

Paint the black eye.

Get a hole punch and punch out tiny circles out of yellow foam

Paste the tiny foam circles onto the octopus

Craft goes green! I’m not throwing those polystyrene fruit trays away. Instead, we are making a tortoise out of it today

Cut a polystyrene fruit tray into ‘cups of bowls’

Paint the polystyrene bowl

Cut squares out of paper and paste on the shell.
Cut out head and legs out of colored foams and paste.
Paste eyes.

Paint your foot white, then outline with black

It should be something like this

Stamp your painted foot onto a piece of paper

Paint your thumb black and stamp on both sides of the penguin

Use a hole punch to punch out small circles out of black craft foam.
Dab some glue on it.

Paste as the eyes. Cut a triangle out of felt and paste as the beak.

Since making the vitagen bottle elephant the other day, I’m very inspired to make other animals out of it. Today, we shall make a panda out of a vitagen bottle

Draw a circle out of a white piece of paper, cut and paste to cover the mouth of the bottle

- Do the same for the base of the bottle.
- Paste small strips of paper to cover the entire surface and add some black parts using black sugar paper.

- Cut two ears out of black craft foam and paste

- Cut 2 eyes out of black sugar paper and paste.
- Paste 2 small googly eyes on it.
- Cut a small heart shape for the nose and draw the mouth.
- Use black craft foam as the legs.

Don’t throw your empty bottles away. Today, we are going to make a rocket

Rocket from recycled bottle

- Get an empty bottle
- Wrap it with aluminium foil
- Press and squeeze it tight until you see the shape of the bottle forming

Use colored craft foams to decorate the rocket

- Make a cone out of paper and stick to the tip of the rocket
- Wrap it with aluminium foil and decorate as you wish

Your awesome rocket is done!

Let’s make a robot out of empty boxes today

Robot

- Wrap two boxes of different sizes.
- Use any colored paper as you wish.

- Paste a couple of stones or buttons as the eyes
- Paste bottle caps as the ears
- Decorate the robot as you wish
- Paste 2 plastic cups as the legs

Cotton sheep

- Crumple a newspaper into a ball.
- Use masking tape to cover the entire surface

- Paste rolled up cotton onto the newspaper ball

- Poke a toothpick through, glue and let dry.
- Cut black straws and glue over the toothpicks.
- Let dry.

- Cut a face out of black colored foam and paste.
- Paste a couple of googly eyes and your cotton ball sheep is ready! So cute
