My boy loves the outer space. He found this picture online the other day.
He loves it so much that he printed it out. Since he loves it very much I thought of converting it into a piece of art.
We managed to make the above inspired by the picture that he printed out earlier.
We’ll need lots of recycled cardboard boxes. What I did was to cut the shapes of planets, meteorite and more out of those boxes. We brought those cut-outs to the Studio.
Got the kids to glue the shapes onto hard construction paper.
Paint the paper with lots of colors and let dry.
Lit a candle and drop the wax all over.
Paint over the wax drops. Paint the planets and the frame.
The artwork after painting. Let dry.
This is the fun part. Once dry, use a coin to scrape the wax off the paper to reveal colorful dots.
The kids and their space art 😀 Houston, we DON’T have a problem 😛
We saw some boxes lying at the corner of the craft room and came out with this impromptu idea of making a mini city for all his toy vehicles 🙂
After an hour or so of working together, we came out with this! 😀 Click here for full instructions.
We saw some old cardboard boxes and kitchen paper rolls today and decided to make a castle out of it 😀
Kitchen paper roll castle
We use some old box and kitchen paper rolls
Cut one end of the kitchen paper rolls to look like the top of a castle tower.
Draw a door and cut until you are able to ‘open’ it
Cut the kitchen paper roll so that you can slide the cardboard in
Slide the cardboards into the kitchen paper rolls.
Personalized it as you wish. My boy insisted of pasting ‘bricks’ on the castle 😀
One of his favourite craft work at the moment, his very own castle 😀
Look, he is THAT happy! Seeing him happy makes ME happy 😀
Let’s go sailing today 🙂
Egg carton sail boat
We’ll need some colored corrugated papers, egg carton and wooden sticks
Draw a triangle on a drawing board and paint on both sides
Once dry, cut and paste on a wooden stick
Use a single hole punch and punch a hole in the middle of the egg carton
Paste corrugated paper to cover the egg carton
Place the wooden stick with the sail in the hole and sit two eggs in your sail boat 🙂
We are ready to sail 😀
Father’s Day is just around the corner. Let’s make a card for dear ol’ Dad 😀
