Today’s footprint craft is a remake of our footprint popsicle we did back in 2011 with the elder brother.

Footprint Popsicle Art 1

The younger brother wanted to do it too but is too young to trace his own footprint and cut it out and got the big brother to help him out.

The little one is able to apply the glue onto the popsicle stick himself.

And paste the paper footprint on it.

He also wanted to EAT it! 😀

Christmas is just a month away so let us start making some Christmas art.

My toddler is too young to paint his own foot so the elder brother helped him with it. Make sure to have a damp cloth nearby so you can wipe the paint off your little kid’s foot or you’ll have a lot of mess to clean up later.

I helped to stamp his painted foot on a piece of paper and wipe clean his foot.

The elder brother proceeded to paint the other foot.

And I helped to stamp it next to the previous footprint.

The elder brother completed the artwork by painting a star at the top and some dots as the Christmas tree ornaments while the little boy played with the paintbrush.

Mushrooms! We love mushrooms! Today we are going to make a footprint paper plate mushroom 😀

Footprint paper plate mushroom

Cut a paper plate to the shape of a mushroom top

Paint the paper plate red.

While waiting for the paper plate to dry, paint your foot white or brown.. 😀

Stamp your painted foot on a piece of coloured construction paper.

Back to the paper plate. Paint a coat of diluted PVA glue all over the plate. This acts as an adhesive to hold the cotton later on and also as a varnish. Read here to learn more about varnishing using PVA glue.

Paste cotton balls

Spread the remaining PVA glue at the back of the paper plate

Paste it onto the footprint and the mushroom is done! Served with a bowl of freshly cooked mushroom soup, YUMMY! 😀

We are enjoying the durian season here now. Durian is a very ‘subjective’ fruit. You either LIKE or HATE it! To those who loves it, you’ll find that it is very fragrant while those who hate it won’t even be able to bear the pungent smell 😀

Anyway, no guessing to which side I’m at as that is what we are doing today 😛

Footprint Durian

Paint your foot yellow

Stamp your painted foot onto a piece of art block

Paint the other foot

Stamp next to the first footprint

Paint the ‘skin’ and thorns

The durian is done 😀

He’s one happy kid with his durian 😀
